Vision4Pollies taps our Federal Politicians on the shoulder to flag the widespread absence of specific, identifiable long term goals related to our national vision and to get them to work harder, stating and pursuing goals for our country, as opposed to winning the next election and looking after their own interests.

You can do this as a voter by symbolically mailing them your used spectacles with a written request for greater focus on vision, starting with Albo and Dutto. ( See below).

Dear Prime Minister / Leader of the Opposition,

You will find enclosed with this letter a pair of glasses which I hope you will accept as respectful encouragement for you to focus more closely on the long term future of our country. You will see from the other writers mailing similar reminders to you that I am not alone in this request.
​
We are deeply concerned about the evident trend for State and Federal governments, to preoccupy themselves with short term goals which are often more concerned with re-election than with where Australia is going long term.
​
At a Federal level just a few of the areas which show the absence of future focus domestically include :
​
- The absence of a substantial response to the housing needs of younger people as opposed to papering over the status quo. Associated with this is dealing with mounting generational inequality and student debt.
​
- Evidence of a clear, national response to our energy and infrastructure needs - as opposed to selling energy offshore and buying it back.
​
- Patching up "goat tracks' in politically sensitive seats.
​
On the global stage our short term ostrichism ( or avoidance of conditions as they exist ) is clearly shown by :
​
- Our servile relationship with Trump's America and the pursuit of our regional defence interests as opposed to his.
​
- The absence of an assertive and independent Australian trade posture with both America and China - as opposed to the current fumbling around in the middle.
​
- Our approach to the current situation in Gaza and our position with respect to Israel - including the clearly meaningless and unworkable "2 state solution" mantra mumbled by our ministers.
​
Vision4 Pollies is an attempt to get reassurance and clarity from yourself and your ministry that our Federal government is actually thinking ahead with a focus on long term national needs, as opposed to the Party's needs, those of its members and those of minority groups
​
So, what is your vision for Australia going forward ?
​
Can you provide us with something we can understand and quantify in terms of your work as a government ?
​
For example talk to us about the first strategic objective of each of your ministries.
​
Vision4Pollies has also approached your opposition to request they explain their position on these important matters.

How to mail your glasses and letter
You can keep your costs down to $4.40 including stamps, by using the following steps in sending your package to your Pollie:
​
- Purchase a 151mm X 229 mm Padded Mailer packet from AustraliaPost
​
- Fix $3.00 worth of stamps to it.
​
- Sticky tape the arms of your glasses tightly to the frames of the glasses. ( They will need to fit through the 20mm letter guage AustraliaPost use to check letter width )
​
- Insert your signed letter and your taped glasses into your package.
​
- Hand your package over at the counter.
​

- turning Australia into the 51st American state by giving away our sovereignty, defence autonomy and our cultural identity.
